Thanks to John Thompson and Judith Townend who have both taken great interest in Nyouse, and who took the time to interview me and understand what I’m trying to achieve.

With the help of Journalism.co.uk, Nyouse got a flurry of interest yesterday, as people began to wonder what Nyouse is all about.

Nyouse is so new that everything is up for discussion – so if you have thoughts on Nyouse, leave us a comment! Or direct your thoughts to @nyouse (via Twitter).  I’ll be answering questions in the FAQ section.

Nyouse is new, just like this blog. There isn’t much here at the moment, but that will change as Nyouse develops.

The Nyouse blog will be used to explain changes, updates or interesting things that happen with Nyouse.

It’s got potential…

Nyouse could be amazing. Nyouse could revolutionise the way individuals and the media interact. Nyouse could provide a clear channel for honest, authentic news to percolate up into the world’s consciousness. Nyouse could help connect new media and old media. Nyouse could shake up ancient media organisations and suggest a way forward for newspapers. Nyouse could give the disenchanted and disenfranchised a voice.

But Nyouse needs you.

Without the active participation of people – ordinary people like you and me – Nyouse won’t work. Nyouse needs ordinary people to share their news on Twitter and mark it #nyouse.

If you and me and everyone we know starts to share their news, and the world’s journalists peruse Nyouse for interesting stories, then maybe the news will be dictated less by advertisers and more by us.

Let’s put YOU back in the news, with Nyouse!
